Some very silly - Christmas Shenanigans
It’s been a fantastic year for our in-house students learning both Thai and English. We’ve seen them make lots of progress over the last 12 months, we’ve also made many new friends and heard about their personal desires and ambitions along their journey of life and learning languages. It’s always a pleasure to see their participation in our dynamic classes, which are growing consistently. From our perspective as language providers, we would personally like to thank all students for their participation in their classes and also and additional thanks for inspiring us try to always offer equally inspiring and engaging content to you all.
End of Year Christmas Gift Exchange and ActivitiesIt’s only fitting and equally fun to try to offer some end of year Christmas festivities in the guise of our well known Gift Exchange and Christmas Party. This is a great excuse for all of our students to celebrate Christmas time together, where most expats in Bangkok are often away from their families. It’s also a great way to practise their Thai skills with our native teachers and other students from across the classrooms, who are also learning English in Bangkok. Finally, it’s also a chance for our Thai Teacher Team (no alliteration intended) to enjoy the western culture of Christmas celebration, which is not common among the native Thai culture.
Secret Santa left something under the treeFollowing the festive plan of giving gifts, Santa kindly and secretly found some time out of his busy and scientifically impossible schedule to visit us at The Knowledge in downtown Bangkok and leave some gifts under our equally fictitious tree for the participants. Some of the gifts included feminine accessories, bottles of alcohol, photo frames and the inevitable Christmas staple of socks. The evening concluded with a highly competitive session of both Pictionary and then Taboo, to determine a winner of a cash prize.
New Year Cheers and all our best wishes for 2018We would certainly suggest that learning any new skill is a matter of making the small steps consistently and over time. When it comes to learning a foreign language, be sure to stay tuned here to hear about Ed’s progress learning Thai and other student testimonials over the course of 2018! It seems timely and just to take this opportunity, then, in the Blog to again thank you for joining us at The Knowledge, whether you’re here to learn English or Thai in Bangkok, or even to join the new classes learning Chinese. A question that often sits on our minds at this moment of the year is that of New Year’s Resolutions, right? So do you have any? Let us know at the Knowledge….we certainly think it’s worth covering a blog about it soon, so we would love to hear your thoughts on this subject, too! Peace, happiness, love, success and all kinds of warm n fuzzies from all of us here at The Knowledge for 2018! We will see you in class, then!
